The Lotus Confederacy was a S6 nation in East Asia comprising of Korea, China, Taiwan and the islands of Kyushu, Shikoku and the Ryukyu arc. It was formed on the 27th of February, 2021. Its capital was Pyongyang-Seoul. It was initially led by IcyMC_, until the Lotisian Civil War, and ensuing April National Elections when TheLetterH was elected to lead the nation.
One of the key aims of the ntion was to encourage international cooperation and construction, this was reflected by the nations administration of the Global Iceway Initiative.
As of Season 7, the nation is the 3rd largest Asian nation to have existed on Globia behind JapanSFR and the Empire of China respectively.
Conflict with China[]
The Lotus Confederacy maintained a high profile territorial dispute with the People's Republic of China, after the latter nation controversially claimed the Shandong Peninsula and the area between the Lotus Confederacy's Shanghai and Beijing claims. Following public comments by Chinese Chairman hatersgonnahate8, the Emperor severed any and all diplomatic ties with China.
A number of nations have expressed their support for the Lotus Confederacy following claims by China that the nation is an Administrative State of China.
On the 12th of March 2021, the Lotus Confederacy declared war upon China for their constant threats and insults towards the nation.
Prior to invasion the Chinese used scorched earth tactics on the Shandong Peninsula, covering the city in lavacasts and destroying large parts of the city.
On the 13th of March at 7pm GMT the Lotus Confederacy invaded China along with their allies Antarctica, the United Kingdom and the USA. Immediately after arriving in the capital of China, the Lotus Confederacy and its allies killed the Chinese leadership and began capturing the city. At 7:12pm GMT, the Lotus Confederacy was declared as victors of the Sino-Lotus war.
After The victory Of the Chinese conflict
The victory in the Sino-Lotus war saw the Lotus Confederacy begin a new age of development as well as the entry of new territory into its borders - notably the Shandong Peninsula and Shikoku island. The Shandong Restoration Project was begun following the end of the war, in order to restore the city to its former beauty. The project was initially an international effort, however once the cobblestone had been removed the restoration of the buildings and infrastructure was largely undertaken by the LetterH_1.
Lotisian Civil War[]
On the 10th of April, 2021, following an announcement by Lotisian Emperor IcyMC_ on the removal of seurator1527 as PM and of the ban on his Freedom Party, an insurgency group was formed by seurator1527 along with the members of the Freedom and Social Democrat parties. This sparked a large battle inside the Parliament Building and the surrounding areas of Pyongyang once the Emperor requested for the members of the newly formed Lotisian Democratic Front (LDF) to leave the building. The Lotus Confederacy then renamed to the Lotus Empire and declared a state of emergency.
A declaration of war war made at 8:16pm BST by the leader of the LDF, seurator1527 upon the Lotus Empire. This conflict saw minimal fighting, with minor skirmishes taking place over the few days between the rival factions, mostly in Kyushu where the divisions were most prevalent, with the Slimefun bunker being established as a safe zone.
Partway through the civil war leadership of the LDF was transferred to TheLetterH who continued seurator's work to negotiate a peace deal.
The following day (13th of April 2021) the Treaty of Pyongyang was signed by IcyMC_ and TheLetterH. This marked an end to the conflict and the reunification of the Lotus Confederacy under a democratic system. To mark this occasion a new constitution was written jointly by the two leaders creating most significantly presidential elections which are to be held once a month, taking place on the 21st of each month.
Military[]
The Lotus Confederacy Defence Force (LCDF) operated on land, sea and in the air and serves as the primary military force of the Lotus Confederacy. The LCDF operated primarily as a defensive force to protect the nation from invasion and foreign intervention, though aid and disaster relief missions made up most of its activity.
Constitution and Parliament[]
The first Constitution of the Lotus Confederacy established The Lotus Confederacy as a Constitutional Monarchy with a Parliamentary Legislature. The Parliament of the Lotus Confederacy was composed of 29 MPs who meet weekly to discuss legislature and topics of debate, the head MP was the Prime Minister who presided over the Parliamentary Sessions. The Prime Minister was voted in each week during Parliamentary Sessions and then invited by the Emperor to form a government.

Parliament met on three occasions; on the 6th, 17th and 24th of March.
During the first session, highly important topics were discussed and voted upon, most notable of these was a declaration of war upon China which was unanimously voted for by the present MPs. seurator1527 was also officially voted in as Prime Minister of the Lotus Confederacy, having been the acting PM since the nations formation.
The second session on the 17th of March saw the introduction of a 48 hour online voting system to account for the growing and increasingly geographically diverse population. The Federalism Act was passed which saw the formation of 6 provinces (Korea, Taiwan, Kyushu, Shanghai, Beijing and Shikoku) and 2 federal territories (Shandong and the Ryukyu Arc). seurator1527 was elected as PM for a second time.
On the 24th of March the second 48 hour Parliamentary Session was held. The Lotisian Democracy Act was passed during this session which limited the powers of the Emperor and created the position of Deputy PM which Exesa was appointed to. seurator1527 was elected as PM for a third time.
The second Constitution of the Lotus Confederacy established the Lotus Confederacy as a democracy, with a President and a Parliamentary Legislature. Many of the functions of Parliament and the role of PM stayed the same, however the role of Emperor was removed and replaced by the role of President, an elected individual. The President was accompanied by a Vice President and they had the ability to form a cabinet which under the administration of TheLetterH_1 was as follows:

April National Elections[]
In accordance with the new constitution of the Lotus Confederacy Elections were to be held every month, with the 21st being the voting day and a week of campaigning taking place beforehand. The candidates in the April 2021 elections were:

On the 22nd of April, TheLetterH_1 was elected as the first President of the Lotus Confederacy. After polls had closed TheLetterH_1 had 12 votes, IcyMC had 4 votes and Nippy Pawster had 0 votes. This marked a large change in politics and policy of the Lotus Confederacy, with the Communist Party taking power. This marked the first time in the Lotus Confederacy’s history that IcyMC wasn’t the head of the executive office.
The Lotus Mafia[]
The Lotus Mafia was a secretive organisation, whose existence was never fully confirmed. They are believed to have been created sometime towards the end of Season 6 (most likely just following the April elections), with Poorly as their leader. TheLetterH was made aware of the Mafia by two anonymous inside informants, although it is unknown whether IcyMC knew about their existence. The Mafia base was rumoured to be underground somewhere in the Ryukyu Arc near Poorly's holiday home.
Relations between the President and the Mafia were secretive, but it is known that a plan was made between TheLetterH and his Vice President, Seurator to insert leading members of the Mafia into the new Lotisian police force to help keep order and to keep the Communist Party with a strong grip on power. However the season ended before the mafia was able to engage in much substantial in game activity.
